Remembering Loved Ones (Coffee and chat with John Taylor)
Remembering Loved Ones is the title given to our informal coffee mornings that are held at Green Pastures, Burton Rd, Wesbourne. At our last gathering on Friday 24th June a small group of eight people gathered to listen to Revd John Taylor explain how and why we might remember our loved ones. The group also had opportunity to share from their own experiences, and to listen to others. As well as this, John also gave a practical example as to how we might remember our loved ones via a Memory Jar. As a final act of remembrance the morning concluded with the lighting of tea- light candles in the Chapel which everyone found to be very moving. For those gathered, it was their first step in coming to terms with their loss and which they found very helpful.
