Report for the Broadstone community lunch
The community lunch at Broadstone Royal British Legion proved to be a great success yesterday with a good number of people attending.
Jan Wharmby (Manager of the Broadstone Office of Tapper Funeral Service) who hosted the lunch commented ‘It is encouraging to see people who lost their spouse only a few short months ago, making new friends and enjoying a social environment. Of particular interest was seeing those who had been widowed for the longest time giving comfort to those who had been widowed most recently, which I think is a sign that 'society' is in good health.’
