After a funeral, families often like to entertain their friends with some refreshments. This is an opportunity to relax and to remember the person who has died in a less formal way than during the funeral service. These events are often referred to as a Wake. Families may elect to entertain friends at home or in a convenient hotel or pub; perhaps the deceased was a member of a club that could host such an event. At Harbour View, we offer refreshments on site. We use Harbour Lodge which, with the conservatory extended, can comfortably cater for upwards of 40 people. We can provide all food and drink, music and flowers. We can also arrange a buffet with waitress assisted service. Please watch the video to see a typical example of the catering at the lodge.
